CBRM residential heavy garbage collection

Selected Items Allowed:

• Sofas, chairs, mattresses and box springs, carpeting and flooring, windows

• Wooden items including dressers, drawers, chairs, tables, doors

• Appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, freezers, dishwashers, ovens

• Empty oil tanks, hot water tanks, tubs, sinks, metal radiators

Selected Items Not Allowed

• Electronics, including computers, televisions, audio and video systems, cellphones

• Household special waste materials (paint, gas, oil, petroleum products)

• Propane tanks, fluorescent lights, asphalt roofing shingles, insulation, gyprock

• Vehicle parts and tires, yard waste including leaves, branches, shrubs and bushes *A full list of items that will and won’t be collected can be found on the CBRM website or by calling the waste management hotline at 902-567-1337.
