Four Sydney accused to receive trial date
SYDNEY — Four Sydney residents have elected trial in Supreme Court on drug charges.
The four were charged last year after Cape Breton Regional Police raided a marijuana dispensary. Charged are Donald James Campbell, 38, of Grand Lake Road, who is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and a single count of growing marijuana. Stephanie Marie Boutilier, 25, of Grand Lake Road, is charged with the same offences as Campbell. Morgan Christopher Ferguson, 41, of Terrance Street, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and with growing marijuana. Paul Raymond Theriault, 39, of Grand Lake Road, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana.
All four accused have elected Supreme Court trial, judge alone, and have waived their right to a preliminary hearing.
The four are now scheduled to appear in Supreme Court on July 25 to receive a trial date.
