Sydney Forks fighter Ryan Rozicki will enter the squared circle on Saturday at the Ancaster Fairgrounds in Hamilton, Ont. Rozicki will battle with 24-year-old Kristof Mate of Budapest, Hungary, in a cruiserweight bout. Mate sports a record of 9-7 with six knockouts and has won six of his seven bouts since moving into the cruiserweight division. He’s the current UBO Intercontinental cruiserweight champion, however, no belt will be on the line. “Ryan has been working extremely hard since his last KO win at Centre 200. We have been advancing his speed and movement and working on some new combinations that we will be putting to good use,” Glenn Williams, Rozicki’s coach, said in an email. Rozicki has a 6-0 professional record and is the Canadian Professional Boxing Council’s North American cruiserweight champion.
