The re­port­ing struc­ture is as fol­lows:

Level 1 (L1): VCDS, En­vi­ron­men­tal Chiefs of Staff, DND/CAF Le­gal Ad­vi­sor, ADMs, CRS, and other equiv­a­lent po­si­tions as they are cre­ated.

Level 2 (L2): Direc­tors Gen­eral (Mil­i­tary and Civil­ian), Chiefs of Staff at NDHQ, For­ma­tion Com­man­ders, etc.

Level 3 (L3): Direc­tors, Base/Wing/Brigade/Unit Com­man­ders or other equiv­a­lent po­si­tion (as they are cre­ated, re­port­ing to a L1 or a L2 ex­er­cis­ing bud­getary re­spon­si­bil­ity).

Level 4 (L4): COs of Squadrons, Area Sup­port Units, Sta­tions, HMCS, Branch Heads, etc.
