“I love peanuts first. Pol­i­tics is sec­ond,” says Pres­i­dent Jimmy Carter in his home­town of Plains, Ge­or­gia. Vol­un­teers for his 1976 Pres­i­den­tial cam­paign were known as “the Peanut Brigade.” Awarded the No­bel Prize for Peace in 2002, he has lead the long­est and most ac­tive post-white House ca­reer of any Pres­i­dent.
