(ABOVE) An oasis of color known as Graffiti Alley resides in the heart of Baltimore and is the only place in the state of Maryland that offers a legal safe space for artists seeking a canvas where they can express themselves and practice their art without the fear of being locked up.

(LEFT) New Orleans, Louisiana is full of amazing street art such as the elusive Banksy’s stencil of a girl with an umbrella. Many believe this piece is a metaphor for the failure of the levees during hurricane Katrina in 2005 whose catastrophic effects on the city can still be seen today.
