Trump’s twitter feed silent on Team USA

Edmonton Journal - - WINTER OLYMPICS -

US. President Donald Trump has a tweet for just about everything, but he’s had nothing for Team USA at the Olympic Games as of Wednesday evening.

Among the things Trump has tweeted about since competition began Friday: the budget he signed into law, his desire to have more Republican legislators in Congress and infrastructure.

He’s tweeted about jobless claims dropping, National African-American History Month, the “Fake News Media, ” the downfall of a top aide accused of domestic abuse and the Florida school shooting.

Missing from his twitter feed? Any mention of Team USA or words of encouragement for the athletes competing in the Games in South Korea.

Trump did tweet twice last week complimenting the host country for the Winter Olympic Games, most recently: “Congratulations to the Republic of Korea on what will be a MAGNIFICENT Winter Olympics! What the South Korean people have built is truly an inspiration!”
