Canada bounced from 3x3 hoops World Cup

Canada was ousted from the FIBA 3x3 basketball World Cup with a heartbreaking 18-16 loss to the Netherlands in Tuesday’s quarter-finals. Michael Linklater, Steve Sir, Jermaine Bucknor and Michael Lieffers went into medal play undefeated, finishing atop their group at 4-0. The loss left the Canadians sixth in their first FIBA 3x3 World Cup appearance. Linklater and Bucknor led Canada with five points apiece. The 3x3 game makes its Olympic debut in Tokyo in 2020.
