EDITOR’S POV

Elle (Canada) - - Travel -

Red and white can rule the rest of the year, but in summer Canada’s official colours should be blue and green. This palette doesn’t get any better than at Lake O’Hara, in Yoho National Park on the Alberta-B.C. border. The turquoise and emerald views from the surrounding 12-kilometre Alpine Circuit trail are my favourite in the world. Book a cabin at Lake O’Hara Lodge and watch the lake’s hues evolve from sunrise to sunset. You can even take it all in from a canoe—can’t get much more Canadian than that. CHRISTINA REYNOLDS
