ELLE (Canada) - - Beauty - KATHERINE FLEMMING

When it comes to evoking femininity, glamour and just the right amount of rebellious angst, liquid liner has no beauty-arsenal equal...if you can aim properly, that is. I over-traced, smudged and smeared my way so far off my eyelid that I had to abandon the cat-eye mission completely. During a recent visit to Benefit Cosmetics HQ in San Francisco, I tried They’re Real! Push-Up Liner ($29). The innovative ergonomic shape provides a good grip, while the hyper-flexible tip allows for a tight fit against lashes. Factor in a smooth, matte extra-dark gel formula (which comes pre-measured in the clickable pen for the ideal dose) and the Dries Van Noten graphic shape is mine in one fell swoop.
