Fall/winter 2015 has ushered in a brandnew dressing game: A gaggle of colours, fabrics, prints, patterns and fits came together on runways in what looked, at first glance, like a touch of madness but was really a hypercurated scene. Trend after trend was layered on: extra-wide-legged pants with even roomier jackets, mind-bending prints and geometric patterns, metallics on top of metallics. It’s a sartorial menagerie that many designers created with the help of runway stylists, who contribute, from behind the show curtain, to the magic that is the spectacle. We tapped Juliana Schiavinatto, ELLE Canada’s resident stylist, to find out how to translate the catwalk’s most audacious ensembles into real life. Here’s your guide on how to keep cool and get dressed this season. h
