A form of in­ter­val train­ing, box­ing builds stamina and mus­cle en­durance. No ring nearby? Grab an ex­er­cise band. For­mer boxer Michael Ola­jide Jr., who works with Adri­ana Lima at his Aerospace High Per­for­mance Cen­tre in NYC, ties them around clients’ an­kles while they bob and weave. Even just jab­bing will strengthen the lower back and shoul­ders and help pos­ture, says Justin Gel­band of modelFIT, also in NYC, whose clients in­clude Irina Shayk and Mi­randa Kerr. JUMP AROUND Ola­jide prefers the body-ton­ing car­dio of skip­ping to run­ning; he says it’s eas­ier on the joints and you’ll see re­sults in a third of the time. CHANGE IT UP Be­hati Prinsloo counts squats and sit-ups as top butt kick­ers, but she’s al­ways up for a change. “I don’t like know­ing ex­actly what I’m go­ing to do be­cause I get lazy,” she says. This mind game ben­e­fits the body too: Switch­ing ex­er­cises makes you con­cen­trate more and equals faster re­sults, says Gel­band.
