Good Jeans It’s easy to mistake the indigo material used in COS’ spring/summer 2016 jewellery line for stone. In fact, the hard speckled substance is called denimite, an innovative compound fibre made from—you guessed it—blue jeans. Thirteen pairs of recycled jeans go into a single slab of denimite, which can be cut and shaped into just about anything. Here’s to never looking at your favourite skinnies the same way again. (Metal and denimite ring, $35, at COS, 85 Bloor Street West, Toronto)

collab alert Two became one as footwear labels L.K. Bennett and Bionda Castana collaborated on a capsule collection for spring/summer 2016, out in February (from $656, lkbennett.com). Each shoe is named after an inspiring woman with unmistakably distinct style. There’s the Alexa, an ankle-strap pump finished with a delicate scalloped edge, the January, a pointed lace-up heel worthy of Betty Draper, and the Jackie, a flat cut-out sandal in a retro-sweet checkerboard pattern. Get ready to do some name-dropping. n
