Eighty-six years af­ter Mar­lene Di­et­rich wore a tux in her break­out role in Morocco, the tuxedo jacket is as rel­e­vant and cov­etable as ever. This sea­son, Lon­don-based de­signer Racil Chal­houb is giv­ing the iconic piece the star treat­ment. Her line, Racil, sees the top­per rein­vented in punchy hues and with luxe em­bel­lish­ments. The jack­ets are crafted by Sav­ile Row tai­lors with a wool weave used in men’s suit­ing, while the satin-cov­ered but­tons are made by an ar­ti­san in Paris. “The jack­ets re­flect a sense of fem­i­nin­ity in the cut and soft­ness of the fab­ric,” she says. “But, above all, fem­i­nin­ity is an at­ti­tude.” (From $240,
