A sleeve of tattoos and a proclivity for reruns aren’t prerequisites for using Kat Von D Beauty. “I don’t want people to assume that this line only caters to those who look the way I look—not everyone out there is like a goth kid,” says tattoo artist Von D, laughing, of her eponymous vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand. Case in point: The new waterproof, full-coverage Lock-It Concealer Crème ($34), available in 21 shades, works just as well hiding the regrettable dolphin on your wrist as it does covering blemishes and dark circles. Tap it on using the Edge Concealer Brush ($30), which has been designed for precision application on the smallest contours of your face. The bristles are white-tipped so you can see the product on the brush; you’ll never again apply a blob where only a dot will do.
