Three fashion exhibitions to check out this fall
Hermès at Work (September 21 to 25) Vancouver is hosting a live demonstration of Hermès craftsmanship. Ten of the brand’s artisans will showcase their skills, including leather work, silk painting and watchmaking, in an interactive format in the city’s Jack Poole Plaza.
The Woman Who Reads
(September 17 to January 8) The Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art in Venice is hosting an exhibit exploring the bookish side of Coco Chanel. Part of Chanel’s Culture series, the show explores the designer’s relationship with reading. A Different Vision of Fashion Photography (September 10 to February 12) Over 220 photos by iconic fashion photog Peter Lindbergh will be on display at the Kunsthal museum in Rotterdam. The exhibit also features storyboards, notes and props marking some of fashion’s most defining visuals.
