Three fash­ion ex­hi­bi­tions to check out this fall

Her­mès at Work (Septem­ber 21 to 25) Van­cou­ver is host­ing a live demon­stra­tion of Her­mès crafts­man­ship. Ten of the brand’s ar­ti­sans will show­case their skills, in­clud­ing leather work, silk paint­ing and watch­mak­ing, in an in­ter­ac­tive for­mat in the city’s Jack Poole Plaza.

The Woman Who Reads

(Septem­ber 17 to Jan­uary 8) The Ca’ Pe­saro In­ter­na­tional Gallery of Modern Art in Venice is host­ing an exhibit ex­plor­ing the book­ish side of Coco Chanel. Part of Chanel’s Cul­ture se­ries, the show ex­plores the de­signer’s re­la­tion­ship with read­ing. A Dif­fer­ent Vi­sion of Fash­ion Pho­tog­ra­phy (Septem­ber 10 to Fe­bru­ary 12) Over 220 pho­tos by iconic fash­ion pho­tog Peter Lind­bergh will be on dis­play at the Kun­sthal mu­seum in Rot­ter­dam. The exhibit also fea­tures sto­ry­boards, notes and props mark­ing some of fash­ion’s most defin­ing vi­su­als.
