TAI­LOR YOUR WORK­OUT TO YOUR OUT­FIT

Nicole Win­hof­fer, founder of the NW Method and for­mer cre­ative di­rec­tor for Madonna’s Hard Candy Fit­ness, teaches dance-based work­outs that in­cor­po­rate whole-body move­ments—but some­times cer­tain ar­eas need more TLC. “I work with a lot of ac­tresses and pop stars,” says Win­hof­fer. “When­ever they’re work­ing on a project and they’re wear­ing a spe­cific out­fit, I’ll gear their work­out to that.” Try what Win­hof­fer calls the “swim­mer move” when you’re go­ing to bare arms (think racer­backs): 1. Hold your arms out be­side you, pull them for­ward and ro­tate your wrists up. 2. Pull your arms back and ro­tate your wrists back­wards. 3. Re­peat, for­ward and back, 100 times.
