TAILOR YOUR WORKOUT TO YOUR OUTFIT
Nicole Winhoffer, founder of the NW Method and former creative director for Madonna’s Hard Candy Fitness, teaches dance-based workouts that incorporate whole-body movements—but sometimes certain areas need more TLC. “I work with a lot of actresses and pop stars,” says Winhoffer. “Whenever they’re working on a project and they’re wearing a specific outfit, I’ll gear their workout to that.” Try what Winhoffer calls the “swimmer move” when you’re going to bare arms (think racerbacks): 1. Hold your arms out beside you, pull them forward and rotate your wrists up. 2. Pull your arms back and rotate your wrists backwards. 3. Repeat, forward and back, 100 times.
