How to Shake Up Your Closet

Fashion (Canada) - - Fashion -

Our brains work most efficiently when we group things into categories, says Toronto-based relationship expert Kimberly Moffit. That’s why our closets are already grouped into combos that we know work. “If we’ve worn it in the last two weeks, then we’re more likely to wear it again,” says Moffit, who advises trying the “Ribbon Check” technique. Tie a ribbon on your closet rod, and when you’ve worn an outfit, put it on the other side of the ribbon. This will force you to think beyond your categories of outfits. “You can train your brain to be more creative when it comes to clothing, but you have to make a conscious effort,” she says.
