Down­town traf­fic stop yields drugs, cash and weapons.

A week­end traf­fic stop ended with two in­di­vid­u­als fac­ing mul­ti­ple drug traf­fick­ing charges.

Ac­cord­ing to Wood Buf­falo RCMP, an of­fi­cer with the de­tach­ment’s mu­nic­i­pal traf­fic unit stopped a ve­hi­cle on Franklin Av­enue on Oct. 8.

At some point dur­ing the stop, po­lice dis­cov­ered 21 grams of sus­pected co­caine, 44 tablets of sus­pected MDMA, one gram of sus­pected shat­ter and $1,875 in cash.

The two in­di­vid­u­als in the ve­hi­cle, both Fort Mc­Mur­ray res­i­dents, were ar­rested and have since been re­leased from cus­tody.

Jeremy Daniel Hearn, 31, has been charged with pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and pro­ceeds ob­tained by crime.

Dou­glas Wil­liam Moore, 28, has been charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, pro­ceeds ob­tained by crime, weapon dan­ger­ous to the pub­lic, con­cealed weapon, pro­hib­ited weapon and pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance. Po­lice did not iden­tify the weapon in a state­ment.

The two men will ap­pear in Fort Mc­Mur­ray Pro­vin­cial Court on Nov. 14.
