Kitch­ener designer turns wardrobe sta­ple into thing of beauty

IT WAS CLEAR from a very young age that fash­ion was Jacqueline Piron’s pas­sion.

“You could never tell me how to dress,” says Piron of her child­hood days. “I would wear win­ter clothes in the sum­mer and sum­mer clothes in the win­ter. Fash­ion has al­ways been in my blood.”

Now, at just 29, the Kitch­ener woman has taken her pas­sion for fash­ion and turned it into her own high-end T-shirt busi­ness. But th­ese aren’t your ev­ery­day shirts. Drawing upon re­gal, op­u­lent themes, each fea­tures or­ganic bamboo ma­te­rial as the base and luxury em­bel­lish­ments such as French an­gora, Ja­panese rib­bon and lace, Ital­ian and Ger­man mo­hair, and Swarovski and Pre­ciosa crys­tals. >>
