Set against a back­drop of sheep-f i l led pas­tures and scener y, glaciers drop­ping into the Tas­man Sea and lush rain forests, my home­land of New Zealand holds a spe­cial place in my hear t. The Maori name for New Zealand is and its stun­ning land­scape has some of the best crag­ging down un­der. There is world­class boul­der ing, spor t climb­ing, big walls and alpine routes. Af­ter a re­cent climb­ing tr ip to Aus­tralia, I brought my par tner Ben Rueck to New Zealand for a tour of my old stomp­ing grounds.
