Gripped - - 10 QUESTIONS -

How do you go about the incredible amount of research behind your books? It takes me at least two years to write a book about mountaineering and about half that time is strictly research. That includes reading everything written about the subject(s) in whatever language it exists, sourcing out films, doing lots of personal interviews, gaining access to journals and diaries and generally never stopping talking about the project because you never know who might have a story or a fact or a lead.
