I think so, yes. How­ever, I can’t re­ally say 100 per cent as I have not se­ri­ously vis­ited other climb­ing towns in Canada. I did move to Que­bec for the climb­ing com­mu­nity be­cause it’s big, di­verse and has de­vel­oped a lot over the last three years. Mon­treal and the greater area of­fer around 12 dif­fer­ent climb­ing gyms where you can find dif­fer­ent route-set­ting styles, hold styles and train­ing spa­ces. Back when I started com­pe­ti­tions 10 years ago, Mon­treal only had three climb­ing gyms. Some­thing else that is great is that all climb­ing gym em­ploy­ees (I am one) can climb for free at all other Mon­treal gyms; it’s called the in­ter­gym agree­ment in Mon­treal, which I think is very prac­ti­cal.
