OFF AND RUNNING W
THE 2017 RACING SEASON IS W E L L U N D E R W AY D O W N E A S T
For those electing to skip the harsh elements, there is planning to be done for the upcoming season from both administrative and competition perspectives. Most of the Atlantic Region Motor Sports (ARMS) member clubs have already had their AGMS. The prime topics of discussion at most of these meetings were the latest rule changes from ASN Canada FIA, CARS and ARMS. Planning for warmer weather Kart, Race, Rally & Solosport events is well underway. There is a calendar of upcoming events on the ARMS web site at www.armsinc.ca which includes all Regional events, while club events are added as they are confirmed. There are Regional Championships in Race, Rally, Karting, Autoslalom and Time Attack.
The various ARMS member clubs all have their own championships as well. More detailed event info is available on the ARMS forum and the club web sites.
Now that the cold weather events are winding down, there are only a couple of months left to get your cars and karts ready for what promises to be a great summer of competition.
See you at the track!
ell, here we are three months into 2017 and Rally competition is well under way with the eight event Bluenose Autosport Club (BAC) Rallycross Challenge in full swing. The first event of the BAC Navigational Rally series and the first event in the four event BAC Rallysprint series are in the books. The rallycross events are being held at Scotia Speed World in the spectator parking lot. Conditions range from sunny and cold to rain to snow on surfaces ranging from bare ground to snow covered to sheer ice. For those brave enough to venture out in the winter weather, it's a great way to get the performance rally experience in a cost-controlled and fun atmosphere.
