BMO launches in­ter­na­tional funds

Toronto-based BMO In­vest­ments Inc. has launched two mu­tual funds fo­cused on in­ter­na­tional mar­kets. BMO In­ter­na­tional Equity Fund is meant to pro­vide unithold­ers with long-term cap­i­tal growth through in­vest­ments in eq­ui­ties mar­kets out­side Canada and the U.S., as well as in com­pa­nies that ben­e­fit from in­ter­na­tional ex­po­sure. Ad­vi­sor com­mis­sions are 0%-5% for front-end sales or 2% for low-load sales. Re­demp­tion fees be­gin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero af­ter Year 3 for the low-load sales sched­ule. Trail­ing com­mis­sions are 0%-1% for both sales op­tions. Man­age­ment fees are 1.75% for ad­vi­sor-class units and 0.75% for F-class units. The min­i­mum in­vest­ment is $500 for ad­vi­sor-class units. For F-class units, the dealer de­ter­mines the min­i­mum in­vest­ment. BMO Ja­pan Fund is meant to pro­vide unithold­ers with ac­cess to Ja­pan’s eq­ui­ties mar­kets and to com­pa­nies that ben­e­fit from ex­po­sure to Ja­pan. These mar­kets are ex­pected to ben­e­fit from stronger, ex­port-stim­u­lated eco­nomic growth, ac­cord­ing to BMO. Ad­vi­sor com­mis­sions are 0%-5% for front-end sales or 2% for low-load sales.
