Movie-lovers across the Is­land can catch a free film at Cine­plex Cin­e­mas dur­ing the the­atres’ Com­mu­nity Day Satur­day.

Movie-lovers and their fam­i­lies across the Is­land are in­vited to head to the Sum­mer­side and Char­lot­te­town Cine­plex Cin­e­mas for Cine­plex Com­mu­nity Day.

This is the sev­enth con­sec­u­tive year for the event, a na­tional fundrais­ing ef­fort in sup­port of WE Char­ity, part of WE – a fam­ily of or­ga­ni­za­tions that makes do­ing good doable.

This year’s lineup of free films in­cludes pop­u­lar releases for all ages, such as “Kung Fu Panda 3”, “Trolls, Ice Age: Col­li­sion Course”, “Miss Pere­grine’s Home for Pe­cu­liar Chil­dren” and “Mike and Dave Need Wed­ding Dates”. Con­ces­sions like pop­corn, soft drunks and select candy for $2.50 each as well as a va­ri­ety of ME to WE Cine­plex ‘Change Bracelets’ for a $2 do­na­tion. Doors to Cine­plex the­atres across the Is­land will open their doors at 9 a.m. on Oct. 14 with tick­ets avail­able on a first­come, first-serve ba­sis. Movies be­gin at 9:30 a.m. with the­atre lo­ca­tions re­turn­ing to reg­u­lar pro­gram­ming in the af­ter­noon.
