Sunday participant massages, and the marathon awards ceremony will also take place at marathon headquarters, at 2:30 p.m.

Residents and businesses are all encouraged to show support for the marathon participants by putting up motivational signs along the route and coming out to cheer participants as they pass by.

“The bigger the crowds at the finish line, the more inspiring for all who start coming through the finish line around 9:15 and will continue until 2 o’clock,” said Jenkins-Smith.

The travelling public is asked to allow extra time if travelling on the marathon route Sunday, as traffic could be delayed due to the volume of participants.
