The fu­neral for James (Jim­mie) Duffy of Maple Plains was held at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 9, 2017 where fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Doug Mac­Don­ald who pro­claimed the gospel and de­liv­ered the homily. Cross bearer was Co­lette Stordy. Al­tar servers were Karen McKenna and Neville Law­less. Prayers of the faith­ful were led by Jodie McKenna. The first read­ing was pro­claimed by Pa­tri­cia McKenna and the sec­ond read­ing by Ber­nadette Mac­Don­ald-Ford. Com­bined Church choirs sang pro­ces­sional hymn, Be Not Afraid; re­spon­so­rial psalm, To You I Lift My Soul; of­fer­tory hymn, Amaz­ing Grace; com­mu­nion hymn, Come as You Are; Song of Farewell, Songs of The An­gels and re­ces­sional hymn, Holy Is Your Name. Or­gan­ist was Joan Gau­vin. Com­mu­nion Dis­trib­u­tor was Betty Smith. Pall bear­ers were Ge­orge McKenna, Danny Mac­Don­ald, Clarence McCarville, Art Mac­Don­ald, Rob­bie McKenna and Johnny McCarville. In­ter­ment was in the par­ish ceme­tery with Rev. Doug of­fi­ci­at­ing. Ar­range­ments were en­trusted to Law­less Fu­neral Home, Kinkora.
