Wildcats, Aces split home-and-home series

The East Prince Wildcats and Tignish Team Two Aces split a home-and-home series in the P.E.I. Bantam A Female Hockey League recently.

The Wildcats posted a 6-2 win in Summerside, and the Aces were victorious 4-1 in Tignish.

At Credit Union Place, Jessica Larsen scored a hat trick to lead the Wildcats. Brinley Gallant (2) and Katie Acorn also scored for East Prince, which received assists from Tori MacPhee (2), Jeanna Pickering (2) and Jenna Clow. Dawson Ramsay and Reece Arsenault replied for Tignish. Jill Harper, Carlie McInnis and Shea MacLeod contribute­d assists. Maggie Gaudet was the winning goaltender.

At the Tignish Credit Union Arena, Carlie McInnis had three goals and an assist to spark the Aces. Shea MacLeod (1-1) also scored. Makara Perry (2) and Reece Arsenault had the other assists for Tignish Team Two.

Brinley Gallant, assisted by Jeanna Pickering, netted East Prince’s lone goal.

Taylor Blackmore earned the goaltendin­g win.
