Canadian player Arthur Irwin invented the modern baseball glove in 1885 because he didn’t want to miss a game after he broke two fingers.
At the 1962 Grey Cup in Toronto, the fog got so thick the game had to be finished the next day. It’s still known (surprise, surprise) as the Fog Bowl.
Golfer Sandra Post was the first Canadian, and the youngest woman, to win the LPGA* Championship in 1968.
