MAN’S BODY RE­COV­ERED FROM ST. LAWRENCE

On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice, seen along with Cana­dian Forces Base Kingston Mil­i­tary Po­lice near the CFB Kingston Yacht Club on Wed­nes­day morn­ing, have con­firmed that the body of a man has been re­cov­ered from the St. Lawrence River. Const. Roop Sandhu of the OPP said that at ap­prox­i­mately 9:30 a.m. a boater called 911 af­ter spot­ting the body be­tween Cedar Is­land and Mil­ton Is­land. OPP and the Cana­dian Coast Guard lo­cated the body and re­cov­ered it. “The in­ves­ti­ga­tion is still on­go­ing. We can­not con­firm the iden­tity of the body at this time, post-mortem is to be con­ducted,” Sandhu said. Capt. Jeremy Mathews, pub­lic af­fairs of­fi­cer with CFB Kingston, said search crews launched from the base’s yacht club.
