Will Dri­ving West co­ming to West End

Ce­le­bra­ting their third al­bum Fly, Mon­treal in­die-folk band Will Dri­ving West will be playing a show in La­salle on No­vem­ber 17th

The band have sold over 10,000 re­cords in 66 coun­tries, been on te­le­vi­sion and played hun­dreds of shows across Que­bec, in­clu­ding World re­now­ned Mon­treal Jazz Fest and all wi­thout the sup­port of a re­cord la­bel. The touches of both Clas­si­cal mu­sic and tra­di­tio­nal Que­bec mu­sic, their songs have led to a huge fol­lo­wing main­ly built through word-of-mouth and so­cial me­dia.

The band was star­ted by Da­vid Rat­té, who plays gui­tar and the ban­jo and does vo­cals, af­ter a trip to Ire­land. Soon af­ter he was joi­ned by An­dréa Bé­lan­ger playing pia­no, bass, synths and ban­jo, Ca­mille Pa­quette-roy on the cel­lo and snare, Vincent Per­reault on gui­tars, ban­jo and bass, and Be­noit Caron kee­ping the beat on drums.

Their songs have been fea­tu­red on ma­ny films and TV shows. Each of their al­bums have ri­sen to the top of itunes Ca­na­da charts who have na­med their la­test al­bum Fly as one of the best al­bums of the year. Will Dri­ving West will be per­for­ming on 17 No­vem­ber at 8 pm at the Centre Cultu­rel and Com­mu­nau­taire Hen­ri-le­mieux.
