Will Driving West coming to West End
Celebrating their third album Fly, Montreal indie-folk band Will Driving West will be playing a show in Lasalle on November 17th
The band have sold over 10,000 records in 66 countries, been on television and played hundreds of shows across Quebec, including World renowned Montreal Jazz Fest and all without the support of a record label. The touches of both Classical music and traditional Quebec music, their songs have led to a huge following mainly built through word-of-mouth and social media.
The band was started by David Ratté, who plays guitar and the banjo and does vocals, after a trip to Ireland. Soon after he was joined by Andréa Bélanger playing piano, bass, synths and banjo, Camille Paquette-roy on the cello and snare, Vincent Perreault on guitars, banjo and bass, and Benoit Caron keeping the beat on drums.
Their songs have been featured on many films and TV shows. Each of their albums have risen to the top of itunes Canada charts who have named their latest album Fly as one of the best albums of the year. Will Driving West will be performing on 17 November at 8 pm at the Centre Culturel and Communautaire Henri-lemieux.
