Hatsoff to the Ladies!
The Russell Agricultural Society’s 14th Ladies Night Hats, Horses & Wishes dinner and auction event, on May 5th, raised $25,000 for Autism Canada.
“All proceeds from the silent and live auctions totaling $20,000, plus $5,000 through Scotiabank’s Team Scotia Community Program, were donated directly to Autism Canada”, said Lynne Rochon, cochair and Scotiabank account manager of Small Business.
“The money raised during the Russell Ladies Night event will be used to fund a Scientific Symposium which will bring together scientists, researchers and clinicians from across North America and Europe to share cutting-edge research on autism,” explained Chantale Pomerleau from Autism Canada.
“Special thanks to the auctioneer, honored guests, many volunteers, and co-emcees Tara Shannon and Sébastien Pilon, who all graciously donated their time and skills to help make our event a huge success,” said Judy McFaul, co-chair of the Ladies Night committee. “Be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s 15th anniversary celebration on May 4, 2018,” she added.
