DROUIN TARGET OF ALLEGATION
Francis Drouin, MP for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell, is at the center of an allegation of sexual assault that occurred Saturday in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The incident occurred at 2 a.m. in a bar, not far from where the Liberal Party of Canada convention was held.
The Halifax Regional Police has opened an investigation to shed light on this allegation. At press time, no charges have been brought against Drouin. The young member remains a member of the Liberal caucus.
In a statement he posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, Drouin claims that the complainant was mistaken and denied any involvement in this matter.
