First cohort formed in Bagotville
On September 2nd, a group of eight aviation technicians specializing in CF- 18 propulsion and structure completed their training at Bagotville’s 10 Field Ta c t i c a l Tr a i n i n g Squadron ( 10 FTTS).
This is the first time the 10 FTTS squadron offered this combined training. Previously, technicians were specialized in one of the two areas, and not both. Training the technicians in Bagotville allows them to stay close to family. There is also a financial advantage to the military as the technicians do not have to go to Cold Lake for a period of almost six months, with all the costs that this entails. 10 FTTS expects to receive another group of nine students ( the maximum for this training in Bagotville) in October.
