Ca­na­dian Forces Mo­rale and Wel­fare Ser­vices 20th an­ni­ver­sa­ry

Fes­ti­vi­ties were held at CFB Ba­got­ville on Sep­tem­ber 22nd to mark the 20th an­ni­ver­sa­ry of Ca­na­dian Forces Mo­rale and Wel­fare Ser­vices ( CFMWS).

In the spi­rit of CFMWS’s man­date, the PSP team star­ted the day with a race, which was at­ten­ded by se­ve­ral hun­dred mem­bers of the Ba­got­ville mi­li­ta­ry com­mu­ni­ty.

This race was the per­fect op­por­tu­ni­ty for the PSP team to pro­mote a heal­thy li­fe­style by en­cou­ra­ging mem- bers to par­ti­ci­pate in phy­si­cal ac­ti­vi­ty.

A five and a ten ki­lo­me­ter course, along with a 30km re­lay race took place in the mor­ning along the ca­det camp road. All par­ti­ci­pants in the race were able to en­joy a re­fue­ling sta­tion of­fe­ring heal­thy snacks in­clu­ding ve­ry po­pu­lar smoo­thies. Snacks were pro­vi­ded free of charge thanks to the Ca­nex and PSP team.

The 20th an­ni­ver­sa­ry fes­ti­vi­ties conti­nued with a hot dog lunch and grilled zuc­chi­ni gra­cious­ly of­fe­red to all mem­bers of the Base. Two beau­ti­ful cakes were pre­sen­ted to ce­le­brate the 20th an­ni­ver­sa­ry of CFMWS and the 48th an­ni­ver­sa­ry of the CA­NEX. They were ea­ten with en­thu­siasm along with an ama­zing as­sort­ment of tarts.

Se­ve­ral kiosks were al­so on site to pro­vide ser­vices and pro­ducts: OK Tire, Cycle Sport Ex­pert and even Ma­rai­cher Baie Lac­tee of La Baie. An as­sort­ment of fresh food was avai­lable for the crowd to pur­chase.
