12 RS deployed in Georgia
Members of 12 Radar Squadron, the Foxes, took to the road on October 5 to go to Savannah, Georgia, to participate in Exercise Bold Quest.
Originally, the trip was planned over five days; however, it ended up taking nine days, since during this period the American East Coast was hit by Hurricane Matthew. This was the first time that the unit participated in the international exercise. 12 Rdr Sqn took this opportu- nity to lead the deployment of personnel and equipment, including the TPS- 70 radar. During the exercise, which included participants from many countries, including Norway, Netherlands, Italy and Britain, the Foxes were responsible for providing control to fighters participating in air combat training. 12 Radar Squadron is a small unit whose members work as a team to ensure that the mission is accomplished.
