Adventure training for members of ACC
Six military members from the Air Traffic Control ( ATC) section participated in adventure training in the Fjord- du- Saguenay National Park between September 30th and October 3rd in order to increase the cohesion and morale of the unit.
For four days and three nights, the adventurers tackled the fjord trail, hiking 41.1 km in total. According to participants, it was a fulfilling and rewarding expedition in which they were able to personally challenge themselves while also motivating their teammates. Captain Alexandre Brault is a member of the ATC section and took part in the training. "An expedition of this size could not have taken place without months of planning and coordination, and above all without the support of the various units of the Base. The PSP team, the Preventive Medicine Unit and the Hospital, the Supply Section and the Transport section. Finally, thank you to the Operations Division," says Captain Brault, expressing her gratitude on behalf of the entire team. Following the activity, the participants developed a list of lessons learned during the planning and execution of the expedition. These lessons will help improve future adventure training for the ATC section, which is already in the works for 2017!
