BIAS becomes carbon neutral
In order to pursue the ecoresponsible objectives established a few years ago, the BIAS 2017 is pushing its efforts further by offering the first carbon neutral air show in the world.
In collaboration with UQAC's Carbone Boréal team, BIAS has developed a series of measures to compensate for the entire greenhouse gas pro- duction generated by the presentation of the event. The organization will invest $ 7,000 in planting thousands of trees in environments where new forests can be planted and this will offset the approximately 250 tonnes of greenhouse gases used in the air show. Other environmental meas- ures continue to be implemented at the air show, such as the responsible collection of residual materials. In collaboration with the Eureko group, a recycling and composting system has been developed in recent years and will reach its peak of efficiency during the 2017 edition.
