A summer camp that stands out

Le Vortex de Bagotville - - NEWS -

Seven years ago, recreation manager Claire Deschênes was commissioned to set up a summer camp at CFB Bagotville. The objectives were simple: to ensure that children enjoy themselves safely and to have the trust of their parents. August 11th was the last day of the 2017 summer camp for the 128 participating children after seven busy weeks. Bagotville camp stands out from every point of view and starts with the selection of personnel. All members of the summer camp team are highly qualified. During the summer, children have the opportunity to participate in activities in various areas of the Saguenay- Lac- St- Jean region as well as participate in recreational activities of all kinds. This year, as the theme was ' Explorers', the PSP fitness team took the opportunity to experiment with various military tasks for children. They were even able to try out the FORCE test and the firefighter test: a great moment of pride. According to Ms. Deschênes, "the success of such a program is due in large part to the support of the military community, which contributes to bringing unforgettable experiences to children. Thank you also to the 3 Wing / CFB Bagotville authorities for their trust and support.
