Dream Day to Disney World
A group of eight children from the Bagotville military community took part in the Dreams Take Flight project from October 31th to November 2nd.
In collaboration with Canadian organizations and community groups, Dreams Take Flight helps disadvantaged and disabled children live an unforgettable day. In recent years, the organization has reserved a number of places for military children. The chosen children fly to a Disney park in Florida to spend a whole day entertaining and marveling, with all expenses paid. Before their departure for Disney, the children are welcomed in an Air Canada hangar at the Montreal airport where a big party awaits them. 3 Wing Bagotville collaborated in this activity by sending a CF- 18 fighter aircraft and a Griffon helicopter. Even if the trip is fast and the children sleep very little, you can see the joy on their faces when they return from a magical trip to Disney World. Captain Benoît- Marcel Lalancette, Chief of Staff to the Commander of 3 Wing and CFB Bagotville, accompanied the children during the trip. He says the kids were very excited about the trip.
