Sports Day in the CAF

Le Vortex de Bagotville - - LE MOT DU COMMANDANT -

On October 20th, the PSP team welcomed more than 600 people to the Base Recreation Center as part of Canadian Armed Forces ( CAF) Sports Day.

The goal was once again to promote healthy lifestyles and to introduce members of CFB Bagotville to new activities. To do this, two new sports were added to the program that was offered last year: the obstacle course and Kinball. The obstacle course consisted of executing eight military- inspired exercises over a distance of 400 meters as quickly as possible. Kin- ball, for its part, is a team sport that consists of getting the most point by using strategy against other teams while using one enormous ball. These two new activities were a success! In order to lead by example, commanders from 3 Wing and 2 Wing took part in the activities. As much at the triathlon as when chasing the ball, they stood out by their determination and their effort. The PSP team took this opportunity to collect donations and donate them to the Base Charity Fund. A total of $ 703 was raised for the cause.
