Honeymoon plans scrapped but marriage to Liam is still pending
Miley Cyrus has scrapped plans for a honeymoon in Bora Bora, Us Weekly reports. But she’ll still go ahead and marry Liam Hemsworth, apparently.
“They had the entire trip planned, but Miley just decided she didn’t want to go there anymore,” Don’t Usemyname told the magazine. So their flight reservations and resort booking were cancelled. “They have yet to pick a new locale.”
There’s been much speculation, especially in Liam’s native Australia, that the wedding would happen there, this month. But now they’re apparently looking at dates a month or two or three later. She’s 23. He’s 26. The rock-star life: Before their Friday gig at Dodger Stadium, the band Guns N’ Roses emailed the L.A. modelling agency Photogenics and offered a free ticket to every girl on the company’s roster, TMZ.com reports.
About 50 of them accepted, and each was given her seat down front, a backstage pass, and an invitation to the after-party at the Roosevelt Hotel. The only rule, TMZ says: no boyfriends or other plus-ones.
Actor Jonah Hill says the fake cocaine he snorted for scenes in The Wolf of Wall Street sent him to hospital with bronchitis.
“If you ingest that much matter into your lungs you’ll get very sick, and we were literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day,” for the 2013 movie, Hill told HBO interviewer Bill Simmons the other day.
Vitamin powder — the designated substitute — is fine healthy stuff when swallowed, but not so good when snorted.
“I never had more vitamin D in my entire life,” Hill said, joking that “I could have lifted a car over my (bad word) head.”
To get himself pumped up the scenes where he was supposedly high he ingested coffee and Red Bull, he added.
He’s 32. Rappers Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill, long rumoured to be a couple, have taken all the mystery out of the question by moving in together, TMZ.com reports.
(So, what will we call these two? Millaj? MeekMin? But I digress.)
TMZ says the two are paying US$30,000 a month to rent a nine-bedroom, eight-bathroom, five-car garage mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Mill, born Robert Rihmeek Williams, is 29. Minaj is 33.
In 2013 Sean Parker, the Internet brat who founded Napster and became an early investor in Facebook, was planning his wedding with singer Alexandra Lenas.
How could he make it special? Well, he could invite Ian McKellen to officiate, in his Gandalf costume.
The Daily Mail quotes the veteran actor thus: “I was offered US$1.5 million to marry a very famous couple in California, which I would perhaps have considered doing, but I had to go dressed as Gandalf. So I said, ‘I am sorry, Gandalf doesn’t do weddings.’”
The forest ceremony, in Big Sur, Calif., had a Lord of the Rings theme anyway. Guests — Sean Lennon, Emma Watson, Sting, etc. — wore custom-tailored LotR costumes.
McKellen is 77. Sean’s 36. Alexandra’s not saying.
