Picture Butte RCMP are investigating another armed robbery in Nobleford

On Tuesday at 10:45 p.m., two masked men entered the Nobleford Food Mart. RCMP say one produced a knife and the other a hammer. Both demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes from the store cashier.

RCMP say the suspects fled in a 1999 to 2002 Ford pickup, teal in colour. No licence plate was obtained.

The cashier and the store’s lone customer were not injured in the exchange.

Picture Butte RCMP, with the assistance of Coaldale RCMP and Lethbridge Traffic Services, made immediate efforts to locate the suspects and to advise local citizens of the situation. No arrests have been made. This store was victim of such a robbery in September 2016. The lone suspect in that incident was arrested, convicted and received a five-year prison sentence.

The RCMP would like anyone with information on the person(s) responsible for these crimes to contact their nearest RCMP Detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
