Horns men’s soc­cer team heads west

As they hit the mid-point of the Canada West sea­son, the Uni­ver­sity of Leth­bridge Pronghorns men’s team hits the West Coast this week­end.

The road trip kicks off tonight as the Horns (13-2), take on the the Trin­ity West­ern Spar­tans in Lan­g­ley at 7 p.m., lo­cal time and wrap up the week­end Sun­day in Kam­loops when they face the Thomp­son Rivers Wolf­Pack at 3 p.m.

Through six con­fer­ence games this sea­son, the Pronghorns have scored six goals, while al­low­ing nine goals against.

New­comer El­lis Davies leads Leth­bridge with two goals, while fourth-year mid­fielder Stephen Primeau leads the team with three as­sists, in­clud­ing as­sist­ing on both goals this past week­end.

Last sea­son, the Pronghorns lost 2-1 to Thomp­son Rivers in Kam­loops, but didn’t face the Spar­tans.

In their last match-up with the Spar­tans dur­ing the 2012 sea­son, the Pronghorns lost 2-0 in Lan­g­ley.

The Pronghorns will re­turn home next week­end, host­ing the Fraser Val­ley Cas­cades and UNBC Tim­ber­wolves Sept. 23 and 24.
