Thanks for community’s help with fundraiser

Lethbridge Herald - - READER'S FORUM -

Harambee Grandmas would like to sincerely thank all those people who donated to and attended our Second Annual Fabric and Yarn Sale that was held at McKillop United Church in October. We raised over $5,200 for the Stephen Lewis Foundation for its work supporting African grandmothers who are raising children orphaned during the HIV AIDS epidemic in Africa.

Along with our gratitude to the community, we would like to thank McKillop United Church for its ongoing support and to Save-On Foods for providing plastic bags for our customers.

Our leftover items were all donated to local charities, including Blankets for Canada, the MCC Thrift Store, Days for Girls, the Rio Vista craft ladies who knit baby items for Chinook Regional Hospital, and the Fashion Studies program at Winston Churchill High School.
