APPRECIATING VETERANS THROUGH QUILTS
Quilts of Valour Canada, Southern Alberta Chapter representative Joan Barrett, left, presented her third quilt of 2018 to veteran Albert Sullivan, centre, who served with the PPCLI from 1961-64. Helping with the presentation, which took place at the Royal Canadian Legion, General Stewart Branch No. 4, is Legion president Michael Cormican. Barrett has presented 122 quilts since being involved during the last four years and makes quilts at the Legion on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Volunteers are always welcome to participate at the Legion or from home and can contact Barrett at 403-331-5243 to find out how they can show their appreciation of veterans.
