ATB FI­NAN­CIAL RO­TARY DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL – AD­MIN­IS­TRA­TIVE SUP­PORT The ATB Fi­nan­cial Ro­tary Dragon Boat Festival com­mit­tee is look­ing for an ad­min­is­tra­tive sup­port vol­un­teer. Du­ties would in­clude keep­ing records, dis­tribut­ing and fil­ing all festival cor­re­spon­dence, record­ing and dis­tribut­ing min­utes of Festival com­mit­tee meet­ings in a timely man­ner, and main­tain­ing a “To Do” list. LETHBRIDGE YOUTH FOUN­DA­TION/5TH ON 5TH YOUTH SER­VICES – AUC­TION AND 50/50 VOL­UN­TEERS The Lethbridge Youth Foun­da­tion/5th on 5th Youth Ser­vices is search­ing for 50/50 ticket sellers to roam the crowd sell­ing 50/50 tick­ets to all guests in at­ten­dance, as­sist guests with down­load­ing and us­ing the Hand­bid app on their phone, find and hand out auc­tion items to guests that have won the bid for that item and as­sist with serv­ing food items from food ven­dor booths for their event the evening of April 14th at Ex­hi­bi­tion Park. WATER­TON LAKES COM­MU­NITY AS­SO­CI­A­TION – SPE­CIAL EVENT AS­SIS­TANT VOL­UN­TEER The Water­ton Wild­flower Festival is an an­nual event that takes place June 14 to 19 cel­e­brat­ing na­ture and an abun­dance of wild­flow­ers in Water­ton Lakes Na­tional Park. Du­ties in­clude; dis­tri­bu­tion of in­for­ma­tion ma­te­rial, as­sist­ing with set up/tak­ing down of sig­nage, chairs and ta­bles, as­sist­ing at re­cep­tion and reg­is­tra­tion desk, greet­ing and as­sist­ing the pub­lic, pa­tron sign-in, waivers ticket and mer­chan­dise sales, help with car­pool­ing, mon­i­tor cof­fee table, clean-up, over­see kids ac­tiv­i­ties and more. HELEN SCHULER NA­TURE CEN­TRE – IN­VA­SIVE WEED PULL VOL­UN­TEERS The Helen Schuler Na­ture Cen­tre is look­ing for vol­un­teers to help with In­va­sive Weed Pulls. Pub­lic drop-in clean-ups are sched­uled for the third Thurs­day in May, June, July, and Au­gust at var­i­ous locations in the river val­ley. Vol­un­teers will iden­tify, lo­cate, and re­move in­va­sive plant species found in the river val­ley. The goal of the pro­gram is to im­prove the health of the lo­cal ecosys­tem by de­tect­ing and re­mov­ing pro­hib­ited nox­ious weeds be­fore they es­tab­lish in Lethbridge. In­va­sive Weed Pulls are a great op­por­tu­nity to spend time out­side while mak­ing a dif­fer­ence in our com­mu­nity. MY CITY CARE – MIND­FUL MUNCHIES DRIVER My City Care is look­ing for driv­ers ev­ery Mon­day and Wed­nes­day dur­ing school hours, start­ing at about 9:30 am to de­liver food to schools in the north end, south end and west side of Lethbridge. Vol­un­teers must have a valid driver’s li­cence and a crim­i­nal record check letter as they go into schools and will also need to do a food safety course with Lethbridge Food Bank. LON­DON ROAD NEIGH­BOR­HOOD AS­SO­CI­A­TION – FAMILY PIC­NIC VOL­UN­TEERS The Lon­don Road Family Fair, held on Wed­nes­day, June 20 at Kins­man Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will fea­ture free en­ter­tain­ment, food, in­for­ma­tion booths, sur­prises and ac­tiv­i­ties for ev­ery­one. Vol­un­teers are re­quired to help with setup, cleanup and dec­o­ra­tion as well as serv­ing hot dogs and le­mon­ade, face paint­ing, su­per­vise chil­dren on the bouncy cas­tles and as­sist at the in­for­ma­tion booth.
