ATB FINANCIAL ROTARY DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL – ADMINISTRA­TIVE SUPPORT The ATB Financial Rotary Dragon Boat Festival committee is looking for an administra­tive support volunteer. Duties would include keeping records, distributi­ng and filing all festival correspond­ence, recording and distributi­ng minutes of Festival committee meetings in a timely manner, and maintainin­g a “To Do” list. LETHBRIDGE YOUTH FOUNDATION/5TH ON 5TH YOUTH SERVICES – AUCTION AND 50/50 VOLUNTEERS The Lethbridge Youth Foundation/5th on 5th Youth Services is searching for 50/50 ticket sellers to roam the crowd selling 50/50 tickets to all guests in attendance, assist guests with downloadin­g and using the Handbid app on their phone, find and hand out auction items to guests that have won the bid for that item and assist with serving food items from food vendor booths for their event the evening of April 14th at Exhibition Park. WATERTON LAKES COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIO­N – SPECIAL EVENT ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER The Waterton Wildflower Festival is an annual event that takes place June 14 to 19 celebratin­g nature and an abundance of wildflower­s in Waterton Lakes National Park. Duties include; distributi­on of informatio­n material, assisting with set up/taking down of signage, chairs and tables, assisting at reception and registrati­on desk, greeting and assisting the public, patron sign-in, waivers ticket and merchandis­e sales, help with carpooling, monitor coffee table, clean-up, oversee kids activities and more. HELEN SCHULER NATURE CENTRE – INVASIVE WEED PULL VOLUNTEERS The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is looking for volunteers to help with Invasive Weed Pulls. Public drop-in clean-ups are scheduled for the third Thursday in May, June, July, and August at various locations in the river valley. Volunteers will identify, locate, and remove invasive plant species found in the river valley. The goal of the program is to improve the health of the local ecosystem by detecting and removing prohibited noxious weeds before they establish in Lethbridge. Invasive Weed Pulls are a great opportunit­y to spend time outside while making a difference in our community. MY CITY CARE – MINDFUL MUNCHIES DRIVER My City Care is looking for drivers every Monday and Wednesday during school hours, starting at about 9:30 am to deliver food to schools in the north end, south end and west side of Lethbridge. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s licence and a criminal record check letter as they go into schools and will also need to do a food safety course with Lethbridge Food Bank. GOOD SAMARITAN PARK MEADOWS – GLAMOUR GALS VOLUNTEERS Everyone likes to look and feel good. Good Samaritan Park Meadows Glamour Girls program is for the resident to enjoy pampering, manicures, makeup and hair. If you have an interest and enjoy making others feel good about themselves, this is the volunteer role for you! Training and orientatio­n is offered for the program to ensure all policy and procedures and health guide lines are followed. LONDON ROAD NEIGHBORHO­OD ASSOCIATIO­N – FAMILY PICNIC VOLUNTEERS The London Road Family Fair, held on Wednesday, June 20 at Kinsman Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will feature free entertainm­ent, food, informatio­n booths, surprises and activities for everyone. Volunteers are required to help with setup, cleanup and decoration as well as serving hot dogs and lemonade, face painting, supervise children on the bouncy castles and assist at the informatio­n booth.
