Outbreak at Fleetwood
Lethbridge School Division received notice on Friday that there is an outbreak at Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School with two COVID-19 cases.
At this time, based on advice from Alberta Education, Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School will remain open.
Alberta Health Services has proceeded with defining close contacts of the two cases within the school context, and those individuals will be contacted by the school via email.
Those individuals will be required to quarantine immediately for the period defined by the close-contact letter.
The school division also announced that one case of COVID-19 has been identified at Coalbanks Elementary School.
Fleetwood-Bawden and Coalbanks, will proceed with normal school schedules on Monday.
Overall, Lethbridge has 157 active cases, down six from Thursday, and 671 recovered.
