Pasta dinner helps cancer fight
If ever there was a good reason to overload on carbs, a spaghetti dinner taking place tomorrow night in St. Lazare is it.
Michelle Lobaton, 25, is battling a rare and costly form of cancer. According to Nancy Lewis, who has organized Pasta For a Cure, being held Thursday Dec. 10 at Bistro Café Anis & Marjolaine, 2027 chemin SainteAngélique in Saint-Lazare, Lobaton must pay for expensive new drugs not always covered under Quebec’s health plan.
Lewis says Lobaton, a member of St. Lazare’s extended equestrian family, is physically fighting a battle with Angiosarcoma, but that the community can help with other aspects of the fight.
Lobaton was diagnosed on her 24th birthday.
Pasta For A Cure will take place Dec. 10. Three one hour sittings will get underway beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and include one raffle ticket. For information, call 450 510-2433 or email: email@example.com.
